PROJECTS - Crawfordjohn Heritage Venture

Category B listed early 19th century former parish church, now museum of rural life, operated by local community in South Lanarkshire. Following a condition survey, developed a repair and maintenance strategy for the property to arrest longstanding dampness issues and poor environmental conditions that were impacting the fabric and museum collections. Secured grant funding and wrote a feasibility study to improve the condition of the exteriors and interiors, including installing renewables to power a new conservation heating system. Project manager and contract administrator for the delivery phase of the project and currently writing a case study for Historic Environment Scotland to demonstrate good practice.
